The number of media demands will only continue to rise as Myles Turner reaches new heights on the basketball court.

The Pacers’ first-round pick was in studio at NBA TV early Thursday evening to talk about his rookie season and, of course, his big block on LeBron James last week. Over the last 10 games, Turner is averaging 15.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game.

If not for suffering a chip fracture in his left thumb, which required surgery and kept him out 21 games, Turner would surely be a participant in the Rising Stars Challenge at NBA All-Star Weekend Feb. 12-14 across the border in Toronto.

Down in Atlanta to play the Hawks Friday evening, Turner spent time after practice at the nearby Turner studios. He joined the “NBA Gametime” program with Jared Greenberg and Steve Smith in studio and handled himself very well. He looked sharp and represented the Pacers very well.
