Fans leave Paul George their well wishes on ‘Get Well’ banner

Fans write their message to Paul on the banner that will be hung at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

All this week, Pacers fans can drop by Bankers Life Fieldhouse to write their thoughts and well wishes on a banner for the face of the franchise, Paul George.

A sample of the messages on the banner.

George suffered an open tibia-fibula fracture during a USA Basketball intrasquad scrimmage out in Las Vegas. That gruesome injury forced him into surgery early Saturday morning. The good news is that he had a clean break.

Fans have until the conclusion of the Indiana Fever game Friday night – probably around 9:15 p.m. ET – to get to the Entry Pavilion at the Fieldhouse to leave their special message. Then, the banners will be hung on either side of the building.

The two banners read, “Wishing you a speedy recovery, PG!” and “Get Better Soon, PG!”

If one can’t make it, or wishes to write him something more personalized, there is another option.

Fans wanting to send Paul a card or letter can do so to the following address:

Get Well PG
125 S. Pennsylvania St.
Indianapolis, IN 46204

Players get all kinds of mail and requests throughout the year, I can only imagine the thousands of cards that’ll soon be delivered.

And it’ll mean a lot to George, who has to remain off that injured right leg for approximately three months. As of Tuesday afternoon, he was still in a Las Vegas hospital and had not yet been discharged, though it is expected any day now.
