FOX Sports Indiana televising 78 Pacers games — Eddie Gill to join network as an analyst

FOX Sports Indiana, the television home of the Indiana Pacers, will televise 78 regular season games during the 2016-17 season. The other four games — Nov. 22 vs Boston, Jan. 23 vs New York, Feb. 13 vs San Antonio, and Mar. 6 at Charlotte — will air on TNT, as the network has exclusive rights to those four games.

Viewers outside of Central Indiana will like the fact that seven games are scheduled to air on ESPN, while six others can be seen on NBA TV. In total, 17 Pacers games are scheduled to be shown to a national audience.

Chris Denari, who is entering his 11th season as the play-by-play man, will be joined by Quinn Buckner (18th), and host and sideline reporter Jeremiah Johnson (3rd).

Former Pacer Eddie Gill, who resides in Indianapolis, is finalizing a deal to appear on FSI as an analyst on Pacers Live! home pregame and postgame shows, multiple sources informed

Gill was a journeyman, spending time in the IBL, ABA, CBA, NBA D-League, and with six different NBA franchises: New Jersey Nets (2000-01, 2007-08), Memphis Grizzlies (2001-02), Portland Trail Blazers (2004), Pacers (2004-06), Seattle SuperSonics (2007-08), and Milwaukee Bucks (2008-09).

FSI will also televise two preseason games, both of which are deemed Pacers home games.

Their first broadcast comes Thursday, Oct. 6 when the Pacers host the Chicago Bulls, their only exhibition game at Bankers Life Fieldhouse this fall. Then, one week later, they’ll televise the first ever NBA game at the Ford Center in Evansville — Pacers vs. the Bucks.

Last season, FSI televised all 82 regular season games for the first time in network history.

All games that are shown on FSI are also available on FOX Sports GO, which is available to customers of AT&T, Bright House/Spectrum, DirecTV, and Dish. Essentially, customers for all major carriers in Indianapolis except Comcast XFINITY can watch games on the app.

When it comes to game broadcasts this upcoming season, FOX Sports Indiana plans to air short packages celebrating the Pacers’ 50th season. And for each of the planned six decade games, FSI will produce related content.
