Paul George isn’t the only Pacer currently sidelined with an injury, he’s just the most important. In addition to George (sore left ankle), C.J. Miles (sore left knee) and Kevin Seraphin continue to miss games.

Seraphin, a forward off the bench, is out due to a sore left knee. When asked on Sunday if he remembers what happened, when did it begin hurting, he said he wasn’t sure.

“Not really,” he said in street clothes, seated on the chair at his locker. “Not really. I just felt the pain and at that point, I told them.”

He did not play in their loss to Atlanta, or wins over Brooklyn and Los Angeles (Clippers). Like George, the team ruled him out at least through Wednesday, a road game in Portland. Then, they will all be re-evaluated.

Seraphin did join the Pacers on their flight Tuesday morning out west as they begin a five-game road trip, per his Snapchat.

To this point, the only work that he has been able to do on his lower body is running on the team’s underwater treadmill. That helps in the recovery process because it doesn’t put such force on one’s body.

“That’s it. That’s the only workout that I’m allowed to do right now,” he said, adding that he is free to lift upper-body weights.

Massages are not only part of the recovery process, but also the daily routine for Seraphin. He often posts videos while getting treatment from Andrei Mikhailau, the team’s massage therapist.

“I’m trying to be there every day,” said Seraphin. “Andrei is a good guy. He’s funny. I try to be there every day with him. Massages are important. When recovering [from an injury], it’s really important to get a massage.”

It’s unclear when Seraphin, who has averaged 4.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game this season, will return to the court, and then be able to suit up once again. When he has been out there, he’s brought energy and been active on the glass.
