The Pacers’ Player Relations can finally settle in beginning Monday (March 16) as the last piece to the puzzle has been hired.
Michael Hornback will join the department as the coordinator. He fills a spot previously occupied by Drew Franklin, who took a similar role under Heather Denton with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Hornback, who’s currently assisting the IUPUI women’s basketball program, is a former intern under Karen Atkeson. After almost two decades in promotions, Atkeson moved over and became the Director of Player Relations. Hornback is another example of a young person earning a job through an internship. (Take note, college students.)
The players relations department, which aids the personal and professional well-being of the players, now looks like this:
Vice President: Carl Daniels (He joined the franchise on September 1st.)
