Pacers 2016 Pre-Draft Workouts: Anthony ‘Cat’ Barber, N.C. State

The Pacers are looking to stay in attack-mode and N.C. State’s Anthony “Cat” Barber is certainly great at pushing the tempo.

The 6-foot-2 guard — combo guard, he says — is leaving the Wolfpack after three seasons and will remain in the NBA Draft. He made up his mind “a week or two” after their season ended this spring. The No. 1 thing impacting the decision: his daughter.

“I felt like I was playing for her now,” he said. “I have to take care of her so that’s when I made my decision,” he said.

“I still also felt like there was nothing left for me to do at N.C. State.”

He shot 86.5 percent from the foul like and averaged more than eight attempts per game. The 21-year-old averaged 23.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in his junior season.
