Pacers 2017 Pre-Draft Workouts: Justin Jackson, North Carolina

Justin Jackson opted to forego his final year in Chapel Hill to enter the NBA Draft one year earlier. The 22-year-old is an intriguing option.

He stands 6-foot-8 and has plenty of pounds of muscle to be gained, currently at 201. He averaged 18.3 points and 4.7 rebounds last season with North Carolina en route to 2017 NCAA Championship.

One characteristic Jackson has is a winner’s mentality. He has big-game experience, reaching the title in 2016 and then winning it all in April.

He was one of 20 prospects to accept invitations to be in the Green Room at next Thursday’s NBA Draft, which bodes well for him hearing his name called early into the night. Being invited is something these guys dream about, second to getting officially getting drafted, of course.

Jackson participated in the Pacers’ eighth pre-draft work, going up against Clemson’s Jaron Blossomgame and Houston’s Damyean Dotson.

He was also one of more than a half-dozen prospects who wore Paul George’s signature shoe, the PG1, during his workout.
