Rodney Stuckey remains out with hamstring injury

It’s been a month since guard Rodney Stuckey last played significant minutes for the Pacers. And he is out at least another week, Pacers head coach Nate McMillan said.

“I don’t expect him to play on this upcoming road trip,” McMillan shared prior to Monday’s matinee against the New Orleans Pelicans. Their upcoming road trip out west includes tops in Sacramento, Los Angeles (Lakers), and Utah.

Stuckey is bothered by a sore left hamstring. That’s what has kept him out 13 of the last 14 games, including Monday’s title. He tried to return against Chicago on the day after Christmas but that was a short-lived return lasting just six minutes.

A right hamstring strain caused him to missed 10 games just four days into the regular season. All this after the 30-year-old said he felt terrific about his offseason work, mixing up his routine ahead of his 10th year in The Association.

Stuckey, who in 17 appearances has averaged 9.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, ran some on Sunday. Then, on Monday, he played four-on-four with teammates more than two hours before they tipped off against the Pelicans.
