Russell Westbrook, coach Billy Donovan on Paul George’s reunion in Indy

The Thunder have been the center of reunion games in the NBA. There was Kevin Durant returning to Oklahoma City last year, and again this year. Now one of their own, Paul George makes his return to Indianapolis and will play in front of Pacers fans Wednesday night.

As George noted when he spoke with two dozen media members … yes, it’s on ESPN.

“Obviously Paul coming back here is a big thing, and us as teammates will have his back and go out and fight for him,” Russell Westbrook said.

“All I’ve heard him speak about is what great respect he has for Indiana, the Pacers, the organization, and his teammates,” coach Billy Donovan added. ” And I think anytime you invest the amount of time that he’s invested inside the (Pacers) organization, obviously it’s got to mean something to him coming back here — just because of how highly he speaks of Indiana.”
