Sources: Pacers’ Victor Oladipo, Myles Turner will attend USA Basketball minicamp

Victor Oladipo and Myles Turner will be in Las Vegas this week for USA Basketball minicamp as planned, leagues sources told VigilantSports.com.

Both Pacers starters were named to the 35-man National Team roster on April 6th. This roster, featuring the best of the best in the NBA, must be whittled down to just 12 players for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Already, we have learned from media reports that LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, and Draymond Green will not attend.

Former Pacer Paul George will be there as well.

Team USA is holding its annual minicamp July 25-27 in Las Vegas, which has essentially become the summer home for the NBA. The league hosted 82 summer league games there over an 11-day period earlier this month.

And for the first time, Gregg Popopvich will lead camp, taking over for Mike Krzyzewski, who was the head coach from 2006 through 2016. Mike Brown, the former Pacers assistant coach (2003-05), is one of nine coaches serving as an assistant coach.

Players report to Las Vegas on July 25, then have two days of camp held at UNLV’s Mendenhall Center.
