VIDEO: Slick Leonard returns to Bankers Life Fieldhouse

Slick Leonard has been stuck at home for most of the last three months after he slipped on ice in his church parking lot. He fractured a hip, was hospitalized, and has been resting at home with his wife, Nancy.

On Sunday, he made his much-anticipated return to Bankers Life Fieldhouse — for the first time in 2018. It’s one of the first times that he left his home since the Jan. 6 accident, excluding doctor visits.

“I came back today because I had to see them make the playoffs,” the Hall of Famer told VigilantSports.com upon his arrival. “It’s good to be back. I miss it. I miss all of the guys. I got a lot of friends down here.

“Three months is enough to be gone. I’m happy to be back.”

The Pacers (42-31) host the Miami Heat and clinch a playoff berth with a victory. Slick’s return will be celebrated on the video board during an in-game timeout.

Slick is in his 32nd season providing color commentary on the Pacers Radio Network.
