The World’s Greatest College Week just got even better.
Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Nicki Minaj are performing Tuesday, April 12th in Bloomington at Assembly Hall (17,357) multiple sources have confirmed. The highest price ticket, on the floor, I’m being told will sell for around $90.
This high-profile concert is being hosted by the Indiana University Union Board and has been in the works for many months. Because of the big-name artists, the concert wasn’t cheap to acquire.
Travis Barker of blink-182 and Mixmaster Mike will be the opening act at 7 p.m. Part of the concert’s proceeds will go to Malaria No More, an organization working to end malaria deaths in Africa by 2015.
Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller are already slated to perform on that Friday, April 15th at Sigma Alpha Mu & ZBT. How ironic that both Lil Wayne and Wiz Khalifa are performing in Bloomington in the same week. Green and Yellow vs. Black and Yellow I suggest.
And soon to be announced, year two of GLOWfest. Last year the organization brought the up-and-coming Mike Posner and established LMFAO.
Don’t forget about race-day Saturday…makes for a memorable (or not) Little 500.
Just another reason Indiana > Purdue.

I can’t believe Union Board came through and listened to the students. Very well done. Assembly Hall is going to be nuts during little five–maybe it should be at Memorial Stadium!
