Pacers swingman Paul George is scheduled to address the media on Friday at 2 p.m. ET at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. It’ll be his first public comments since suffering an open tibia-fibula fracture during a USA Basketball Scrimmage in Las Vegas on Aug. 1.
And it most certainly will be picked up by NBA TV and ESPN.
George returned to Indianapolis on Tuesday, Aug. 5. He has had many visitors over to keep him company and his mind off of what he’s going through. Pacers head coach Frank Vogel and George Hill have both made it over to visit.
George cannot drive because his right leg is in a splint, but he has a car service available, according to coach Vogel.
The interview room was packed Tuesday morning when Vogel and Larry Bird sat answered questions about George’s injury, the team’s outlook moving forward, and more. I can only imagine how full it will be on Friday. Guaranteed to be standing-room only.
Among the items to be discussed will be George’s reasoning for a number change, from 24 to 13.
Note: George’s press conference is NOT open to the public.
Thanks everybody for the love and support.. I’ll be ok and be back better than ever!!! Love y’all!! #YoungTrece
