Indy’s basketball stars were treated to sweet rides on Thursday. Both Paul George of the Pacers and Tamika Catchings of the Fever were given keys to a limited-edition Chevrolet Camaro from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
After all, it is the month of May.
The opportunity to drive these Chevy convertibles is part of “Surprise and Delight,” a program where local influencers like these two and other personalities get to have fun behind the wheel and to raise awareness for the races this month at the World’s Greatest Racecourse.
It turned out to be a great day for those two to whip around Central Indiana, with temperatures in the mid-80s (nearly an all-time record on May 7th.)
Here’s Catch posing in front of the ride, a sporty change from her Lexus.
Catchings, in her own words, on driving the Camaro:
Awesomeness!! I didn’t go too fast, and I didn’t get pulled over LOL. Those were the two things I was worried most about ; ). I drove a little bit of everywhere, but riding to the closing and pulling up to my sister’s mouth dropping was the best part of it LOL.
PG is no stranger to sweet rides. He has numerous cars, including a Ferrari.
