Roy Hibbert is cutting loose of likely his last remaining root planted in Indiana: His home.
About two weeks after returning to Indiana to move out for good, his Carmel home has hit the market. Hibbert played for the Pacers from 2008 through this past April, and then the organization decided to go in a different direction. Over the Fourth of July, they completed a deal to send Hibbert to the Los Angeles Lakers for a 2019 second-round pick.

Hibbert’s asking price is a cool $2.65 million for his 11,248-square feet mansion in a gated community at 10455 Laurel Ridge Lane. It sits on 1.77 acres and features six bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
Another former Pacer, Danny Granger, decided to hang on to his home and condo in Indiana — and rent to current Pacers. (Damjan Rudež lived at his downtown condo last season.)
According to the listing on Century 21, it is an exceptional traditional ranch style home with European influences in gated Laurel Ridge. Built in 2011, Hibbert’s home has tall ceilings (as you would imagine), plus walk-in closets, a wetbar, and interesting furniture.
Taxes alone on this home will set you back the income of a recent grad (or journalist): about $24,914.
Former Pacers beat reporter Mike Wells did a story in Hibbert’s home years ago and wrote this on Twitter Tuesday: “True story: I got lost in Hibbert’s house when I went there to do a story. Had to call him n describe where I was n the house.”
