Scot Pollard, the former NBA big man who played with the Pacers for three seasons (2003-06), will be a contestest on a popular reality television show that’ll air next month.
Pollard, 40, lives in Carmel and appears on the occasional Pacers radio broadcast. The 6-foot-11 center played for six different teams and won an NBA Championship in his final season in the league, 2008 with Boston.
Now he’s one of 18 castaways who will compete on the upcoming season of Survivor: Kaoh Rong—Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty.
The 32nd season of Survivor was recorded this past summer in Koh Rong, Cambodia. This season with Pollard, who was born in Murray, Utha, premieres Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS.
What makes Pollard, a member of the The To Tang Tribe, think he will be the sole Survivor: “Because I’m a great teammate, but ultimately I can outsmart my opponents,” he said.
The secret is out. I'm gonna be on tv this spring! NatGeo is doing a special on evolution and I star as Neanderthal! J/K #Survivor2016
