When Paul George takes the floor in Rio for the 2016 Olympics, he’ll be wearing the latest Nike Hyperdunk 2016.
“This will be my Olympic shoe,” he told me at their training camp stop in Chicago. “Come season, it’ll be a different shoe.”
I followed up by asked, what kind of shoe?
“It’ll be a different shoe,” he replied with a huge grin.

Nike’s description of the Hyperdunk, which debuted in July:
“The shoe’s high-cut Flyknit upper was specially crafted to provide an enhanced locked-in feel. Along with extending the collar, Nike designer Leo Chang paired targeted zones — for lockdown support, dynamic stretch and breathability, respectively — with Nike Flywire cables. Integrated into the forefoot, they provide supplemental support where it’s needed for pivots, cuts and jumps.”
