As I recently spent time with George Hill on his final evening in Indianapolis for quite a while, I noticed he had something on his left forearm.
Turns out, the Pacers’ point guard the last five seasons got new ink of the things in his hometown that are most important. Already, there was the name of his eight-month old son, Zayden.

Hill, who grew up on 34th Street and graduated from Broad Ripple High School, now has images of the following items around his left forearm:
- 465
- 317 in the form of the IMS logo
- Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument
- Broad Ripple Rockets
- IUPUI Jaguars
- GH3 for his AAU team.
Hill got the work done by tattoo artist Timothy Boor, who’s bio says he works out of Kokomo.
“Still have a lot more to go to finish it but it was a good start. It’s a tribute to Indiana and all of the teams he grew up playing with,” Boor wrote in an Instagram post.
“I just want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart,” Hill told a roomful of Pacers fans. “You fans were tremendous. I don’t think words can describe how happy I am to play in front of you guys and this city.”
