Vince Edwards, along with Caleb Swanigan, are two Boilermakers that still must make a decision by the NBA deadline of 5:00 pm ET on May 24.
“I haven’t really slept easy at all,” he said regarding his upcoming decision after working out with the Pacers on Monday. It’s his second time going through the pre-draft process.
“There wasn’t too many teaching points,” he said of his workout with the Pacers. “They just wanted to see if you knew the game, where your IQ was, and if you knew how to play the game.”
The day before this workout in Indianapolis, Edwards met with Purdue coach Matt Painter.
Edwards, 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward, had a workout scheduled later this week with the Milwaukee Bucks but had to cancel because of “family issues I have to take care of.” Prior to this day with the Pacers, he went through workouts for Oklahoma City and New Orleans.
“Honestly, I’m keeping everything open,” he said. “I really haven’t made my mind up yet. I’m still debating, still talking, taking everyone’s best interest, trying to get everyone’s word, and listening to the people that’s in my circle. That’s who’s been involved my whole life and hasn’t steered me wrong and been honest with me.”
Last season, his junior year in West Lafayette, he averaged 12.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game on a Boilermaker team that went 27-8 and won the Big Ten Regular Season Championship.

[…] Edwards will most likely not be overwhelmed by the draft process, as he has tested the draft waters in the past, working out for teams like the Indiana Pacers. […]
