Newness seems to be the buzzword around Bankers Life Fieldhouse and the Indiana Pacers this summer. And it extends beyond the court.
The Pacers’ home court gift shop, rebranded as the Pacers Team Store, reopens on Friday, Sept. 29 after two months of renovations.
Everything is new inside the store, including a new tenant. Jason’s Deli — which also opens Friday, according to a spokesman — replaces Dunkin’ Donuts after almost seven years.
Those new Nike jerseys? They will be available on Friday for the first time as Nike replaced Adidas as the official uniform and apparel supplier of the NBA. Swingman jerseys will cost $110, authentic ones are $200.
Their gold “Statement Edition” jerseys won’t be in stock until Nov. 20.
The store, now run by Lauren Roa, includes all new headwear from New Era and 47 Brand.
The iconic part of the team store has been the giant NBA basketball in the store, and that will one of the few things that remains. If you make it inside, be sure to look up — and see the frame of a basketball court.
Jason’s Deli, which is opening its fourth location in Indiana, will feature a much-anticipated salad bar, healthy foods, and (yes, PS&E employees) coffee.
