Dan Orlovsky was not on the Colts practice field Wednesday as the team prepares for their final game of this season.
The Colts (2-13) starting quarterback was in Philadelphia with wife Tiffany, who gave birth to triplets — all boys. Noah Patrick, Hunter Daniel and Madden Lesher.
Orlovsky took over for Curtis Painter four games ago and has two wins to his name. He was put in a tough position for his first two starts, playing at New England and at Baltimore.
He led the Colts to their first win of the season two weeks ago against Tennessee, which was also his first career victory. The horseshoes won their second straight win last week over Houston and the players hope to close the season with three in a row.
But not everyone feels that way.
This has been a busy year for many Colts players–turned dads. It has me wondering what’s in the water at 56th street. Peyton Manning had twins last April, Robert Mathis is expecting twins in February and Ryan Diem also has twins on the way. And now Dan Orlovsky.
Orlovsky has been crashing in Indy all season with running back Donald Brown as his pregnant wife remained at home in Connecticut.
