The G League unveiled its new uniforms for the 2017-18 season on Monday. Just as the NBA switched to Nike from Adidas as the official uniform and apparel supplier, the G League and WNBA did as well.
Uniforms worn by the 26 teams are outfitted with their individual logo and team colors, but the outline is very similar. Over the summer, the Mad Ants ditched maroon as a team color and are now blue and gold like the Pacers.
Nike is using the font for player name and number from the NBA parent team’s uniform, and their shorts feature the NBA team’s logo on the left side of the shorts.
“There was a lot of history in our old colors, but the move to Pacers’ blue and gold will take us into the future.,” said Mad Ants General Manager Brian Levy. “Not only are we synergized with our NBA parent club, but we have a global sports brand like Nike as a partner.”
Merchandize for the Mad Ants will go on sale in November.
