George provided a highlight that will be seen on sports television programs everywhere. In the third quarter, the four-time All-Star threw it down on the Rockets’ Clint Capela. It was a replica of his one-handed slam on Chris ‘Birdman’ Anderson years ago.

At his locker after contributing a game-high 33 points, nine rebounds, and three assists, George walked us through the play.

“It was a pick-and-roll,” he said. “Usually they switch, but they didn’t switch. Trevor [Ariza] stayed on me. I saw the (isolation), I seen [Clint] Capela backing away, and I seen the drive. Young legs is coming back.

“I’ve had a lot of injuries to my legs and they just haven’t been the same. Through time, they’re slowly getting stronger [and] stronger, strengthening back up. So, I feel the change.”

Capturing their third straight win, 120-101, the Pacers improved to 25-22.
