One of the great traditions of Indiana basketball is the annual Indiana-Kentucky All-Star game.
Each year, the two rival and basketball-rich states showcase the best in a border battle. The team members were announced Monday and it should be one of the best groups in recent years.
Nine of the 13 players are from Indianapolis. Seven are staying in-state to play college basketball. Three are headed south to Bloomington.
Hamilton Southeastern’s Gary Harris is Mr. Basketball and he will lead Indiana against Kentucky in Louisville on June 8th and at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on June 9th.
The 13-member roster:
Gary Harris, Hamilton Southeastern, Michigan State
Yogi Ferrell, Park Tudor, Indiana
Kellen Dunham, Pendleton Heights, Butler
Ron Patterson, Broad Ripple, Indiana
Austin Burgett, Avon, Notre Dame
Jeremy Hollowell, Lawrence Central, Indiana
Ronnie Johnson, North Central, Purdue
Patrick Ingram, North Central, Iowa
R.J. Hunter, Pike, Georgia State
D.J. Balentine, Kokomo, Evansville
Glenn Robinson III, Lake Central, Michigan

Craig Teagle of Jay County is the head coach with Tom Bradley (Orleans) and Chris Johnson (Homestead) assisting.
Note: for those Indiana fans wondering why Hanner Mosquera-Perea didn’t make the team…new rules were put in place this year disallowing players from prep schools.
