AUDIO: Scott Agness hosts on CBS Sports 1430AM — Pacers, Corey Joseph, Gordon Hayward talk and more

With Kent Sterling taking a much-deserved day off on Friday, I had the privilege of rolling solo on CBS Sports 1430AM in Indianapolis. While this time of the year is typically quiet, with very view leagues in season, there still was plenty to talk about.

Especially on the NBA front.

Earlier Friday, the Pacers acquired Cory Joseph in a trade with Toronto. I explained why …

Cory Joseph acquired by Pacers in trade with Raptors

Sixth-year point guard Cory Jospeh was acquired by the Pacers in exchange for the rights to Emir Preldzic, who the Pacers received from Dallas one year ago for Jeremy Evans and cash considerations.

Joseph began his career with San Antonio in 2011 as the 29th overall pick out of the University of Texas. (Yes, Myles … another Longhorn joins the roster!)

Niang, however, does have $100,000 in contract guarantees. That was part of the three-year pact he signed one year ago after being selected 50th overall out …

Pacers sign second-round pick Ike Anigbogu to NBA contract

LAS VEGAS — The Pacers signed their third and final 2017 draft pick to a contract on Wednesday. 18-year-old center Ike Anigbogu signed his first NBA contract.

And unlike Edmond Sumner, the Pacers’ selection at No. 52 (acquired from New Orleans for cash considerations), Anigbogu signed an NBA contract, according to a league source.

Sumner, who put pen to paper one week ago, signed a …

Mad Ants alter team colors to match Pacers’ scheme

The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, owned and operated by the Indiana Pacers, have updated their team colors to match their parent company’s color scheme.

The Mad Ants have ditched maroon, which was their primary color, and replaced it with Pacers blue. The change is all about uniformity.

In addition to Nike taking over as the uniform and apparel supplier of the NBA, they will also …
