In addition to hiring Chad Buchanan as General Manager, Pacers President of Basketball Operations Kevin Pritchard promoted one of his key aides.
Peter Dinwiddie, the Pacers’ Vice President of Basketball Operations for the past five years, becomes the Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations. His job shouldn’t change, but his title and (almost certainly) his compensation has been elevated.

When Paul George’s agent, Aaron Mintz, dialed up Kevin Pritchard the weekend before the 2017 NBA Draft, he informed the Pacers’ president of basketball operations that George did not plan to exercise his player option — negotiated by Mintz in 2013 by taking a lower percentage of the salary cap — following the 2017-18 season and would move elsewhere in free agency.

Jeff Teague’s homecoming was short-lived. The 29-year-old point guard has agreed to a three-year deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, a league source told VigilantSports.com.
