McMillan: Pacers not connected, played frantic in Game 4 loss

Victor Oladipo, Cleveland Cavaliers, Pacers, 2018 NBA Playoffs

Game 4 followed what has become a familiar script for the Pacers. Fall behind by double digits but then fight like crazy and string together stops to take back the lead, only this time they didn’t execute when they needed to late into Sunday evening.

The Cavaliers outscored the Pacers 15-8 over the final 6:12, a stretch that featured two three-pointers and a pair of …

Cleveland Cavaliers, 2018 NBA Playoffs, LeBron James

The Cleveland Cavaliers arrived at Bankers Life Fieldhouse dressed in style… again.

For the second consecutive game, the Cavs all wore the same outfit — this time a black suit and tie.

LeBron James took care of the entire team with not one, not two, but three custom Thom Browne suits.

George Hill questionable for Game 4, Tristan Thompson expected to contribute

LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers

Indy native George Hill is questionable to play Sunday night in Game 4 of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ first-round series against his hometown Pacers due to back spasms.

Hill, 31, was at morning shootaround but did not speak to reporters. He went right to the visitor’s locker room, presumably for treatment — which will continue throughout the day.

Hill underwent an MRI on his back Saturday. …

Pacers, Bojan Bogdanovic, Los Angeles Clippers

On Friday, Bojan Bogdanovic had a podium game.

For those not familiar, players with outstanding performances in the postseason are brought to a big room adjacent to the Pacers’ locker room for them to address the media. It’s easier for high-demand players, and is seen aired live by several network broadcasts and a number of streaming platforms.

Victor Oladipo, the face of this Pacers team, …

Indiana Pacers, Cleveland Cavaliers, 2018 NBA Playoffs, Bankers Life Fieldhouse

The Pacers took back control of their first-round series against the Cleveland Cavaliers Friday night by edging the LeBron & Co. 92-90.

Bojan Bogdanovic turned in a playoff career high 30 points on 11 of 15 shooting, including seven 3-pointers. Those seven makes matches a franchise playoff record, one of three players to do it. Most recently, Paul George hit seven on May 11, 2014 …

Running thoughts: R1G2 – Cavaliers 100, Pacers 97

Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Quicken Loans Arena

Here are my running thoughts from the Pacers’ 100-97 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers Wednesday night at Quicken Loans Arena.

It was game 2 of their best-of-seven first-round series. The series is tied, 1-1.

We knew there would be changes from the Cavaliers, including their starting lineup. Coach Ty Lue opted to start veterans JR Smith and Kyle Korver over Rodney Hood and Jeff Green.…
