Indiana basketball has long been a popular attraction throughout the state. Today, some of the state’s best will be showcasing their talents all in hopes to hoist a state championship trophy and wear the blue medal around their next.
This afternoon, two future IU players will be on display at Conseco Fieldhouse for two of the four games. First in the Class 2A game, Park Tudor (25-2) returns to the final game thanks to junior Yogi Ferrell. He is averaging 18.7 points and 6.6 assists per game while shooting 62 percent from the field.
To start the second session, Indiana signee and probably Mr. Basketball Cody Zeller looks to win his second state championship in his time at Washington High School. Zeller has been tremendously efficient averaging 24.1 points and 13.3 rebounds per game for the 23-4 Hatchets.

Session I:
Class A – Triton (23-3) vs. Indianapolis Metropolitan (21-6) – 10:30 am ET
Class 2A – Hammond Bishop Noll (26-0) vs. Park Tudor (25-2) – approx. 12:45 pm ET
Session II:
Class 3A – Culver Academies (19-6) vs. Washington (23-4) – 6 pm ET
Class 4A – Kokomo (23-2) vs. Bloomington South (25-2) – approx. 8:45 pm ET
All games are being televised on the IHSAA Champions Television Network led by WTTV channel 4 in Indianapolis. Each game is also streamed online at ESPN3.com
UPDATE 7:30 p.m.:
Metro in just their third year of existence wins the Class A title over Triton 59-55. Metro has no junior varsity team and just eight players.
Park Tudor avenged last year’s state finals loss defeating Bishop Knoll 43-42. Trevon Bluiett finished with 21 points, eight rebounds. Yogi had 14 points, six assists and five rebounds.
Washington defeated Culver 61-46. Senior Cody Zeller finished with 20 points, 18 rebounds, and won the 3A Trestor Mental Attitude award. This is now his third state championship. He is a big winner that will make a big impact at IU next season.
