Bill Polian was at the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course Thursday afternoon when local media caught up with him.
There are many items for Colts management to address, most specifically Peyton Manning and Joesph Addai. Yesterday, the Colts secured three-year deals with Adam Vinatieri and Melvin Bullitt.
The Colts Vice-Chairman spoke about signing Manning to a long-term deal.
“This is not something that is going to get done overnight. We’ll work through it, and we’re well on the way to doing that, to getting to the work. We’ll see how it goes. I can’t predict how it will go, but one thing we’ll know is that we’ll be here. That is for sure. Now under what financial circumstances remains to be seen, but we’re working on it and will continue to work on it.”
Indianapolis realizes they have to get a deal done; and done sooner rather than later. Peyton’s contract will affect everyone else down the line wanting a contract or a new contract like Reggie Wayne and Robert Mathis.
