Standby for Seeding: Bulldogs eagerly await Selection Sunday

While Butler heads back to Hinkle Fieldhouse without a trophy, in presumably its first and only season in the Atlantic 10, they do have one thing in pocket to look forward to:A near-perfect résumé for the NCAA Tournament.

Fortunately, because of the resume, there won’t be any sweat of missing the cut like so many Bubble Teams are going through today.

Battle at the Barclays: Butler gets one more shot at Saint Louis in Atlantic 10 Semi-Final

The old saying goes, “the third time’s the charm.”

For Butler, it can only hope that phrase stays true heading into a contest against #1 seeded St. Louis, the third meeting between them this season, later this afternoon.

Unlike the first two meetings this contest has conference championship implications surrounding it:
Win and advance to tomorrow’s Atlantic 10 Championship game.

Moving on up: Butler to Join Big East

The Butler did it again.

No not in the form of an upset victory, rather this time in the form of another conference switch.

Butler used 5 in double figures, 49 …

A win by VCU against Temple and Butler would earn the #4 seed along with a first round bye.

Naturally the Rams, who led by double figures …

Taking photo ops while walking through the hallowed halls of Hinkle Fieldhouse, receiving a pat on the head as a player ran onto the floor during the starting lineups, and a full court dead sprint to a dinosaur sized bone ready to be taken out of the hands of a Butler student, symbolically signaling it’s gametime.

These are the simple but timeless memories I have …

Back on track: Butler ends two game losing streak with A10 road win at UMass

After one of the poorest shooting showings in a first half this season, Butler turned an eight point halftime lead into a much-needed 73-62 victory on the road against the Minutemen of Massachusetts Thursday night.

Following their first two game loosing skid of the season, the Bulldogs, (23-7, 10-5 A 10,) desperately needed a victory with only two A10 games left heading into the contest. …
