Video: Postgame recap and thoughts after IU’s 102-90 loss to UK

ATLANTA, Ga. — Indiana lost to rival-Kentucky Friday night and although their year is now over, they have no reason to hang their heads. They finished the season 27-9 and well-exceeded any expectations.

The team has represented Indiana with class and have to be proud of what they’ve accomplished.

ATLANTA, Ga. — Indiana’s special season came to an end Friday night, falling to top-seeded Kentucky 102-90. They finished the year 27-9 and exceed everyone’s expectations.

Final thoughts before Kentucky and Indiana do battle, again

The day, the night has finally come. Ever since the bracket came out two weeks ago, this is a game both Kentucky and Indiana had circled on their calendar.

Indiana shocked the country on December 10th when Christian Watford buried a three-pointer as time expired, to lift IU past No. 1 Kentucky.

What a night that was.

Indiana held their final practice Thursday afternoon before facing Kentucky Friday evening.

The guys took the floor at the Georgia Dome for what was an intense 50-minute practice.

Tom Crean and John Calipari on their relationship

But Friday, Indiana head coach Tom Crean and Kentucky head coach John Calipari will have to put their friendship aside for a few hours when their teams meet in the Sweet Sixteen.

Observations from Indiana’s open practice

ATLANTA, Ga. — Xavier, Indiana, Baylor, and Kentucky all practiced at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta for the first time Thursday in preparation of the two South Regional Sweet Sixteen games Friday evening.

Xavier and Baylor do battle at 7:15 p.m. with Kentucky and Indiana to follow around 9:45 p.m.

The Hoosiers have reached the Sweet Sixteen for the first time since the 2002 season. Friday night, the Hoosiers meet No. 1 Kentucky, again. IU practiced in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia, Thursday and then spoke with the media afterwards.
