The Hoosier Gym is a must-visit for hoops fans — and you can rent it out for $30/hour

Last weekend, I ventured east of downtown Indianapolis on Interstate 70 to Knightstown, Indiana. It was a straight-shot drive, nearly 40 miles to the home of the “The Hoosier Gym.”

That gym, of course, was used in the basketball movie seen by sports fans across the country: Hoosiers.

The Hoosier Gym remains in great condition and is a mini museum. Upon entering, there’s a small …

Which is it, Devin Davis?

Devin Davis needs to decide what he wants. Take a week to think about it, and then execute the plan.

Does he want to play basketball at Indiana University or does he want to be a casual student? Which is it?

With news that he was cited for possession of marijuana in his IU dormitory around 8 p.m. Monday night, I’m not sure this young …

Throughout the country, Sage Steele is known as the knowledgeable and bubbly host of NBA Countdown on ESPN/ABC. It’s a primetime role that has her in Los Angeles nearly every weekend throughout the NBA season.

Taking in the always spectacular Little 500 from a different vantage point

This weekend, I’m venturing 65 miles south to Bloomington, Indiana for the annual Little 500 Weekend. Most of the students have been going at it for a week now. I remember those days. They were fun, but man were they exhausting…

I haven’t been able to make it back for Little 500 weekend since graduating, as I’ve always had the Pacers postseason to cover. But …

Brad Stevens chats with Jim Morris, reiterates to media ‘I’ll be in Boston’

Anytime an elite coaching job has become available over the past few years, Brad Stevens’ name has been thrown out. It’s unclear if there’s ever any interest, even a little, on the other end because his wife, Tracy, is a lawyer and his agent. That’s why his move to the Celtics two years ago wasn’t leaked.

It’s no secret that IU fans are anxious for …

Stanford Robinson to transfer after two years at IU

Spring Creaning has begun down in Bloomington.

Indiana sophomore guard Stanford Robinson will transfer after two seasons playing for coach Tom Crean, the school announced Wednesday.

This comes as no surprise to anyone that has followed the team. I felt that it was a likely outcome all the way back in the fall, even before his sophomore year. There’s guys you can tell who aren’t …

Quinn Buckner going in National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame

Quinn Buckner is part of an eight-member class to be inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame on November 20, 2015, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Buckner, 60, played four years at Indiana University and was a member of the 1976 NCAA Championship team that went undefeated, the last team to accomplish that feat.

In his four years in Bloomington, the Hoosiers were extremely …
