Lance Stephenson assessed a flagrant foul for tripping Milwaukee’s John Henson

Lance Stephenson has been issued a Flagrant-1 foul for tripping Milwaukee Bucks center John Henson in Monday’s win at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Nothing was assessed during the game, but cameras clearly captured Stephenson sticking out his left foot to trip Henson with 5:10 to play in the Pacers’ 92-89 win. A flagrant was handed out Wednesday afternoon after review by the league office.

VIDEO: Jason Terry, Lance Stephenson blow in each other’s ear

During Monday’s Pacers win over the Milwaukee Bucks, Lance Stephenson had some fun with veteran Jason Terry.

They clearly were talking trash talk throughout the game — and it picked up in the second half. Early in the second quarter, Terry appeared to blow in Stephenson’s ear after connecting on a 3-pointer over him.

Then, to start the fourth quarter, Stephenson nailed a trey to …

Lance Stephenson fondly remembers Rasual Butler

Old hat.

That was one of Rasual Butler’s nickname in the Pacers locker room. He was with the team for just one season (2013-14), a 34-year-old vet who had earned a spot via summer league and training camp, and ended up having a significant impact on every single person in the locker room.

Four years later, just one player remains from that roster: Lance Stephenson, …

Battle with LeBron excites but doesn’t intimate Lance Stephenson, who was key in 22-point comeback

Lebron James, Lance Stephenson, Born Ready, Cleveland Cavaliers, Pacers

Lance Stephenson says he doesn’t have back-and-forth conversations with LeBron James. In fact, they don’t speak at all. They play, and they sure battle for certain.

You knew a moment was coming Friday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse as the Cleveland Cavaliers visited for the second and final time during the regular season, it was just a matter of when.

Lance and LeBron. Don’t take …

Running thoughts: Pacers 97, Cavaliers 95

Here are my running thoughts from the Pacers’ 97-95 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers Friday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Myles Turner missed his second game in a row due to a sore right elbow, an injury he sustained in Monday’s win over Milwaukee. Guards Dwyane Wade (rest) and Isaiah Thomas (right hip) both held out being on the second night of a back-to-back. Derrick…

Double-digit deficits become bad habit for Pacers

The Pacers are less comfortable playing at home this season, according to coach Nate McMillan and several players.

“We’re playing different at home I think than we do on the road,” McMillan said Saturday after a 123-119 overtime win over Brooklyn. “I think we get excited about our fan base and being in front of them, and we all want to entertain. You got to …

Running thoughts: Pacers 123, Nets 119

Here are my running thoughts from the Pacers’ 123-119 win over the Brooklyn Nets Saturday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Pacers coach Nate McMillan stressed to his team pregame that they have to get back to playing better defense. He also reminded him how they have lost three in row here in their building – by an average of four points. Domantas Sabonis played earlier…

VIDEO: Pacers discuss Paul George’s return to Indy

Paul George’s only game in Indianapolis, where he was drafted and spent his first seven NBA seasons, is set for Wednesday night and it will air nationally on ESPN. Reunion games are fun.

He’s already gotten their first meeting out of the way, in Oklahoma City on on Oct. 25, a 114-96 Thunder win. George, whose agent informed Pacers President Kevin Pritchard that he would …
