Now that the NFL lockout is behind us, Monday night the league released the full list of names. Players can begin talking to teams at 10 am Tuesday, and teams can begin making cuts Thursday at 4 pm. Beginning at 6 pm Friday, teams can begin signing free agents.
For the complete press release, click here. The Indianapolis Colts list of free agents are below:
Restricted Free Agents who received Qualifying Offers from their Old Clubs:
Eric Foster – DT (second round)
Should another team choose to make an offer to Foster, the Colts would have until 11:59 pm EST on Saturday, August 20 to match that offer.
Unrestricted Free Agents with four or more accrued seasons:
Joseph Addai – RB
Melvin Bullitt – DB
Keyunta Dawson – DE
Aaron Francisco – DB
Tyjuan Hagler – LB
Ken Hamlin – DB
Antonio Johnson – DT
Charlie Johnson – OT
Daniel Muir – DT
Dominic Rhodes – RB
Clint Session – LB
Adam Vinatieri – K
Players with fewer than four accrued seasons who received no Qualifying Offer or no minimum tender from their Old Club:
Mike Hart – RB
Mike Richardson – DB
Gijon Robinson – TE
Tom Santi – TE
Jamie Silva – DB
The number one priority will be signing Peyton Manning to a long-term contract–then it’s on to everyone else.
I’m the Polian’s (Bill and Chris) are already going hard on the dry-erase board as to ranking these former Colts. Key positions include DB, OT, DT RB and K. I think resigning Bullitt, Addai are especially crucial, with Charlie Johnson and Adam Vinatieri up next.
This will certainly be a wild week of transactions and free agency.
Indianapolis will return to Anderson, Indiana for the second straight year. Players are set to report Sunday, July 31st with camp beginning on Monday, August 1st.
