This last year, twitter has finally caught on. I have been on social media site for about two years now and it continues to get even better. Twitter allows for anyone around the world to have input, share thoughts and links, as well as connect with high-profile names.
Monday, ESPN 1070 The Fan sports talk host and ESPN college basketball analyst Dan Dakich joined twitter. In three hours, and without a tweet, double D gained over 900 followers. I have a little more half that and it has taken me almost two years.
During last night’s Super Bowl XLV, twitter was on fire. It was by far the best night on twitter in its existence. From it, I read all about the ticket fiasco, and heard from the Indy perspective. I saw behind the scenes photos and read former players, analysts, celebrities and friends’ tweets about both the game and commercials.
Hopefully Dan follows thru and uses it to share what games he is doing, pictures of events and people he meets along the way, and in-game tweets. If used correctly, Dakich will gain thousands of followers, especially nationally, due to his expanding profile on ESPN.
