As most NBA rosters are set prior to training camp, Las Vegas sportsbooks have listed the over/under on the number of wins for all 30 teams.
The Pacers open at 31.5 wins, according to the Westgate Las Vegas Casino. That ranks 11th in the Eastern Conference, ahead of only New York, Brooklyn, Atlanta, and Chicago.
Last season, the Pacers won 42 games and finished seventh in the East. They were then swept in Round 1 by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Since then, there has been plenty of changes to the organization beginning with Larry Bird stepping down as president of basketball operations. Kevin Pritchard, who took over, then dealt Paul George and just six players are back from last year’s roster.

The sportsbook has the Warriors winning at least 67 games, 11 more than any other team, and has the Boston Celtics edging the Cleveland Cavaliers out for the best record in the east for the second straight season.
