Jeff Teague was back in his hometown of Indianapolis last week. He spent time at his newly-created Pro Am Friday night, then in Fishers Saturday to support his AAU teams.
11 days ago, an agreement was in place between Indiana, Atlanta, and Utah for Teague to come home, for George Hill go to Utah, and for Atlanta to receive Utah’s first-round pick (No. 12). While that deal has not officially been completed just yet due to salary cap implications.
While watching his teams over the weekend, Teague was sporting a Pacers hat.
Teague and his family are waiting until after the trade goes through to talk about the 28-year-old Pike High School product playing for his hometown team. One of his good friends described Jeff’s feelings though.“He’s geeked,” the friend said Friday night.
