This will turn out to be a memorable month for Indy’s own George Hill.
On Monday — July 4th — the 30-year-old guard proposed to longtime girlfriend Samantha Garcia. The two date back more than five years to his time in San Antonio, where he was drafted and played his first three seasons in the NBA.
Then, by the end of the week, he is expected to be introduced as the newest member of the Utah Jazz after that three-team trade is completed. As part of the deal, the Pacers will receive point guard Jeff Teague from Atlanta.
Sam, the mother of their child, Zayden Jaxon, made the public announcement Tuesday afternoon on Instagram.
“So it’s official! We’re engaged! ? i once heard someone say that choosing the right man to marry is probably a woman’s biggest decision in her life. this decision was the best decision and one of the best days of my life and I couldn’t be happier!
