More and more has come out regarding the incident that occurred outside of 1OAK in New York City involving Pacers forward Chris Copeland.
Copeland, who was stabbed multiple times, remains at Bellevue Hospital in stable condition after surgery both on his left elbow and abdomen Wednesday afternoon. Shevoy Bleary, who stabbed Copeland and his former fiancée Katrine Saltara, was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon Thursday in Manhattan criminal court, according to the Associated Press.

Two other NBA players, Pero Antic and Thabo Sefolosha of the Atlanta Hawks, were at the scene and arrested that night for obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct. Sefolosha could be seen limping badly in a TMZ video that was made public and Thursday, the Hawks said he would miss the remainder of the season with a fractured fibula and ligament damage that will require surgery.
Antic, meanwhile, spoke with reporters on Friday and said not only were the two of them not with Copeland, they didn’t even see him.
“We didn’t have anything to do with what happened with that,” he said, via Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “We weren’t together. We didn’t see the guy. Whatever happened, happened way before.
“… I will say it’s a pure example of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
