Joe Young will look slightly different in uniform next season.
With his first NBA season in the books, the Pacers guard has changed his number to … 3. He couldn’t be No. 3 last season because it was taken by starting point guard George Hill.
Then, since Hill was traded to Utah and Jeff Teague opted for his high school number, 44, 3 became available.
It's Official that I Will be wearing number 3 for now on. #OregonDays 🍴🍴🔋

He wore No. 0 in high school and in his first two years in college at the University of Houston. Young, who has already changed his Twitter handle and bio, will now return to 3 — the number he wore at the University of Oregon.
NBA.com already made the change, listing Young as No. 3.
Young’s rookie No. 1 jersey is still available for purchase at the Pacers Gift Shop, but expect it to be discounted soon. Appearing in 41 games in his rookie year, Young averaged 3.8 points, 1.6 assists, and 1.2 rebounds per game.
