Pacers center Lavoy Allen is now a married man.
Allen married Deloris Aviles in Philadelphia, where he played college ball at Temple (2007-11) and his first two and a half seasons in the NBA with the 76ers.
The two have a son, who turns two in October.
Allen, 25, signed a one-year deal to remain with the Pacers in early July.
The Pacers locker room is special, and Allen is one of the great guys. Because he wasn’t a key contributor last season, he wasn’t very often in the public spotlight. But he is hilarious, and would often do something subtle that would garner laughs.
Many times after practice, he walked past the media to the locker room knowing they didn’t request to speak with him. But on his way out, he’d firmly say, ‘Not talking today!’
Evan Turner, his teammate since 2010, was on hand for the big day.
