On Friday, the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund announced that Boyle is the recipient of the 2015 Meagan Skinner Award. He’ll be presented with this award at Wish Fund’s annual “Portrait of Wishes” gala on October 3rd at Conrad Hotel as they celebrate its 31st year and the more than 3,200 wishes granted for Indiana children.
“I feel honored and privileged to receive this award,” Boyle said in a news release. “Indiana Children’s Wish Fund is an organization that is close to my heart.”
According to Indiana Children’s Wish Fund, which grants wishes to Indiana children (ages 3-18) who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening or terminal illness, Boyle is recognized as the award winner for his leadership in our community and his involvement with various Indiana charities along with his generous fundraising and dedication to Indiana Children’s Wish Fund.
And he’s not the first person associated with Pacers Sports & Entertainment to be honored with the award. The late Mel Simon and his wife, Bren, previously were recipients of the Meagan Skinner Award. Other award winners include Jeff Smulyan (Emmis Communications), Bob Kevoian and Tom Griswold (Bob & Tom), racing on-air personality Bob Jenkins, and Joe and Marlene Sexton.
Boyle, the 2014 Indiana Sportscaster of the Year, has served on the Board of Directors of The Indiana Blind Children’s Foundation and the Honorary Board of the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund.

“Mark has been a wonderful ambassador for our organization,” says Terry Ceaser-Hudson, Executive Director of Indiana Children’s Wish Fund. “We feel blessed that Mark spent an entire summer walking the state of Indiana familiarizing Hoosiers with our organization all the while raising money for our Wish children.”
