Pacers backup big man Jordan Hill needs dental work and won’t play Wednesday when the Pacers are in Chicago to face the Bulls (17-12).
Hill, who the Pacers (18-12) signed on a one-year deal over the offseason, had been dealing with tooth issues and finally is getting them corrected.“Jordan hill is dealing with a tooth infection that he may have to have a wisdom tooth retracted,” coach Frank Vogel said on Wednesday.
“If he’s out, we’ll have to throw Myles out there,” Vogel added. So with Hill being out, it’s highly likely that rookie center Myles Turner will play for the first time since he did in Boston on Nov. 11 when he sustained a chip fracture in his left (non-shooting) thumb.
Turner was cleared to resume full activities on Monday following an X-ray exactly six weeks since he had surgery in Indianapolis.
C.J. Miles, who sat out Monday’s 93-87 win over Atlanta, is questionable in Chicago due to a sore lower back.
