Look at Bankers Life Fieldhouse from Georgia Street and you’ll see a new banner hung.
The banner and message is part of Nike Basketball’s latest campaign, “Come Out of Nowhere,” which launched on opening night of the NBA season. Nike blew up multiple images of George along with his tagline, SHHHHH My Game is Talking, and had it installed by Sports Graphics on the west side of The Fieldhouse.
A Pacers spokesman was not aware of how long the banner would be up, or how much it cost Nike to do so.
This isn’t, however, the only banner of George planned to go up. More are scheduled in downtown Indianapolis as part of a larger campaign.
For Nike, this is one of the first times it has leveraged its other NBA athletes as a holistic group on a regional basis, according to a Nike spokesman.
Every Nike player involved in the campaign has their own tagline.
- Kevin Durant (San Francisco/Oakland): “Make History. Not Apologies.”
- LeBron James (Cleveland): “We Aren’t Supposed to Be Here.”
- Kyrie Irving (Cleveland): “Take Your Shots. I’ll Take Mine.”
- DeMar DeRozan (Toronto): “Loyalty is Not for Sale”
- Anthony Davis (Chicago): “If They Can’t Find You. Make Them Look.”
- Isiah Thomas (Boston): “Pick Me Last Again”
- DeAngelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle (Los Angeles): “Hear the Doubters. Just Don’t Listen.”
