Trey Lyles went through his third pre-draft workout of the entire process Thursday, but the latest one surely was the most special. That’s because it was for the Pacers — home in Indianapolis, close to where Lyles played high school ball at Indianapolis Tech and was named Indiana Mr. Basketball in 2014.
During the workout on the practice court at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Lyles went up against Arkansas’ Bobby Portis, a fellow SEC player and the SEC Player of the Year.
After one season at the University of Kentucky, Lyles announced with a half dozen of his teammates that he was NBA-bound. His goal now is to be selected in the lottery.
