A lot happens each week with the Pacers and it’s not easy to stay on top of it. Introducing a new weekly feature, Pacers Last Week, which should help keep you up-to-date on all things Pacers.
The first week of the season is complete…
- Pacers signed Jarrod Uthoff, brought 20 players — the maximum — to camp.
- Photos from media day. | And click here for video interviews from media day, including president Kevin Pritchard.
- Lance Stephenson will begin the season as the sixth man.
- T.J. Leaf is still getting familiar with the Pacers and how they go about business. He has one week behind him and will soon play in his first preseason game — which is played at another level.
- Several local college coaches have attended camp practices.
- FOX Sports Indiana announced that it will televise all 82 regular season games for the second time (Last: 2015).
- Michael Grady, the Pacers’ public address announcer from 2010-2017, joined the podcast. I really appreciated his candidness.
- Victor Oladipo released his second song, featuring 2 Chainz: “Rope A Dope.” (Here’s his explanation for this song.)
- As Myles Turner backs his agent, rookie Edmond Sumner terminated his relationship with that same agency, ASM Sports, in light of the scandal hitting college basketball. Sumner, by the way, isn’t expected back until December or January after having left ACL surgery last winter.
- Pacers renovated and rebranded team store reopened on Friday. Jason’s Deli, which replaced Dunkin’ Donuts, is now open.
- Glenn Robinson III suffered a severe left high ankle sprain.
- Less than 24 hours later, Robinson III talked about his injury, missing time, and why he’s hopeful to beat the eight-week timeline.
