Myles Turner has been a professional NBA player less than a month. It was on June 25th when the 19-year-old 7-footer heard his name called by Commissioner Adam Silver. The Pacers had targeted him and were pleased when he was still available.
In the time since draft night in Brooklyn, New York, Turner flew to Indianapolis to meet team officials, sign his contract, and participate in mini-camp. Then, in the first week of July, he joined their Summer League team for three (of the five) games down in Orlando — and impressed even his new boss, Larry Bird.
“Myles is a little bit better than I thought he was,” Bird admitted last week. “… He’s got a talent that we don’t have here. He’s going to play a lot of minutes.”
Not 24 hours after returning to Indianapolis from Orlando, the rookies — Turner, along with second-round choice Joe Young — helped Paul George at his two-day camp.
Since, he has been home in Bedford, Texas to be with family and unwind a little bit.
But he’s not sitting still. On Wednesday at 10 a.m., Turner launched a Facebook fan page and the first post included a 12-minute video about Turner’s upbringing and journey to the NBA (as seen above). Size 14 shoe to 17 in a matter of days! What!? It was well done. Remember: “First Round Draft Pick” was on his birth certificate in 1996.
Man who would have thought it! I was born for this man! crazy going through some old baby pics and ran across this pic.twitter.com/tBRrvyBYGB

As some players purposely stay off of most social media sites, like Rodney Stuckey and Monta Ellis, Turner enjoys following along, sharing, and interacting with fans.
