The Pacers have a great group of ushers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse and the stories are truly fascinating.
Like Cleveland Harp, a former star at Crispus Attucks High School and then a member of the Harlem Globetrotters. He can be seen at games on the south end between sections 8 and 9.
Like the Bernath’s — Bob provides stats during Pacers and Fever games to TV play-by-play man Chris Denari, and Trudy, Bob’s wife, is an usher during Pacers games and on the stats crew when the Fever are in season. Trudy is stationed between sections 14 and 15.
Then, there’s Jim Saddler, a former aide to three U.S. Presidents — Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton — on Air Force One. Saddler will be featured on NBA Inside Stuff presented by Samsung, which will air Saturday (March 5) at 5:30 p.m. ET on NBA TV. The 30-minute program is co-hosted by Grant Hill and Kristen Ludlow.
