The Indiana Pacers will conclude its preseason slate Thursday night up in Fort Wayne against Cody Zeller and the Charlotte Hornets.
Because it is technically a home game, the Pacers are having to bus a ton of people to Fort Wayne, including the game operations staff, stats crew, Pacemates, dunk team, and an emcee. We’re talking over 70 employees, including the team. Some Pacers officials were already in Fort Wayne, home of the Mad Ants, the D-League affiliate they purchased in September.
Most of the team caught a bus for the two-hour drive north Thursday afternoon after holding morning shootaround at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. But head coach Frank Vogel, Glenn Robinson III, and rookie Rakeem Christmas traveled in style.

They caught a ride downtown Indianapolis in a helicopter and arrived to early so that they could visit with patients at Lutheran Children’s Hospital.

Tonight’s game will be televised by FOX Sports Indiana, which has the broadcast of all 82 regular season games.
The Pacers open the regular season in six days in Toronto, then host the Memphis Grizzlies next Thursday night for their home opener.
