It’s been a difficult 12 months for Pacers’ star man, Paul George after a horrific injury that saw him miss the most part of last season. The injury which, happened when he was playing for Team USA, meant George had several months on the sidelines rehabilitating the most serious — and really only — injury of his career to date.
With Frank Vogel claiming that he is now nearing 100 percent, and ready for the 2015-16 season with the Pacers, George will once again have the world at his feet. But while the Summer League plays out, and the NBA stars have some time off from the game before the season kicks off, George has plenty of things to keep him busy.

Just last year, George attended a charity poker event where he enlisted help from some of his peers as well as a host of famous celebrities. The poker tournament was in aid of the Life Driven organization. The organization helps “provide solutions to social problems that help enhance the lives and circumstances of children and adults battling cancer in disadvantaged communities.”
See the below video of last year’s event:
The event also saw the likes of Master P, Chris Angelo Word, Red Grant and Regina Hall attend the star-studded event on July 26, 2015. Although, Life Driven or George are yet to announce this year’s fundraiser, insiders believe that there should be an announcement due in the coming days.
Casino nights have become very popular platforms for celebrities to raise money for notable charities such as Life Driven. Fellow basketball icon, Allan Houston has his own Legacy Foundation and annually holds a poker event to raise money for disadvantaged children in the New York area. Celebrities predominantly choose casino-themes because of the sheer popularity of casino games on a global scale since InterCasino became the first portal to offer a plethora of games across several different language support platforms. Now poker, blackjack and craps are used to help raise awareness by many leading charities across the globe.
